  1. At first I thought that Carrie was mostly arguing minutia about the term, and perhaps she did hammer that nail until the head was worn off, but her point of perception is reality has merit. I think many early agvocates started out strictly as she said they should be. Some burned out and quit. Others diversified, and began telling their story, family life, hobbies, etc. Is the term off putting to consumers? Do they perceive us as advocates for Ag or self promoters? I’m not sure. What would be a more representative word to describe the farmers and Ag folk of social media? While agvocate may be inaccurate, it has become the defacto name.
